hello friends and family! I am nearing the end of a 2 week training camp in Gainesville Georgia! the first week was spent learning more about Jesus and how to do ministry well, learning how to live in community 24/7! the second week we started learning how to live in different cultures! they set up several senerios though out the week for us to experience, such as a market place, how to sleep in a confined space with a lot of people, how to street evengelize!
their mission for training camp is to equip us for anything we might encounter while we are in the countries! a few of the ways they make that happen is, by leaving all of the comforts we are used to enjoying behind! that begins with us sleeping in tents ( even while we had flood warnings), taking cold bucket showers, washing laundry in buckets, among other things!
i have definitely been challenged mentally and spiritually, as well as learning how to live with 16 people non stop has also been challenging! but where there has been challenge there has also been growth! I’ve been growing in my faith and knowledge of jesus and building great friendships!
while we prepare to fly out to Nicaragua in 3 days, I would love to have y’all keep these in your prayers!
